Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Considering this is a restaurant/cafe in central London the price of £16 for as much as you can eat represents excellent value. I did find a few of the dishes a little oily but overall the food was very tasty and enjoyable providing you resist the temptation to over indulge. I was seated in possibly the smallest restaurant space I’ve ever experienced but as a solo diner it was acceptable. The staff were perfectly fine and I didn’t feel hurried at all. I’ll be eating here on my next visit to London."
"Came here for the first time with friends who always come here when in the area. I must say it is incredible. The variety and quality of the food for the price is more than adequate, especially that it is in London. If you're a big eater, it's a real bargain. If you're on the go, you can have a quick meal without having to think of what to order. At time of writing, it cost £16 per person excluding drinks. We ended up with £70 for 4 people with pots of tea included. Front staff was very friendly too. We came early (walk in, lunch), a couple of dishes were still empty but they were fully filled up by the time we're on our seconds. You may want to book first as they were full quite quickly. The restaurant looks small from the outside but it has a basement dining area which is bigger than the ground level, and all the seats were taken! We will definitely come back!"
"Excellent Chinese food restaurant. For £16 per person they have a wide range of different dishes: from soup to fruit and ice cream. The food is delicious, the staff is friendly and always at your service! We had lunch and dinner several times in a couple of days. The quality is always at a high level! I really love this restaurant!!!"
"Actually to be honest, for a takeaway box, fill as much as you can for 8pounds, is an absolute value. The number of dishes here are quite plenty. The food is definitely not the best restaurant like quality but hey, for this price. I think its good."
"Wow! To start, the food was amazing. Big variety, for everyone. Simple dishes too, like chicken wings and fries, and more authentic Chinese food. Everything was super tasty and nicely seasoned. The vegetables were fresh and nicely cooked. We visited during rush hour and our wait outside was only 5 minutes. We paid £22 per person and we had 90 minutes to eat everything we wanted. We stayed for 60 minutes, we ate so much. All this time the staff was very friendly and always smiling and made sure to keep our table clean. They didn't speak English so well but it doesn't matter because they were very nice. The other people in the restaurant were smiling and eating with big appetite. A coca cola was only £2 The toilet was clean. Very good restaurant, thank you!"
"I went to Young Cheng Hot Buffet and was pleasantly surprised. For the price, it’s definitely affordable, especially considering the wide range of food available. There were big prawns, multiple types of chicken and beef, rice, noodles, veggies, and even a fruit station for dessert. The service was also surprisingly good — the ladies working there were genuinely friendly and attentive, which (don’t get me wrong) isn’t always the case in some other Chinatown spots. Overall, a great experience if you’re after a decent all-you-can-eat meal without breaking the bank (£16 per person)."
"Really good self-service buffet with lots of options, definitely worth £16. I loved the fish and roasted chicken, both were perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The service was friendly, and the ambience was pleasant. Highly recommended!"
"That's the best place if you want to have some takeaway chai. Because you get a box where you can fill from the buffet and it's just 8 pounds. And after this box you are full to the brim because it's the very perfect size for lunch and dinner. I was so happy that this place wasn't far away from my hotel, so went there and grabbed a lot of delicious things. I was also really happy that they had dark. You could also add to the box. I would definitely go back there. And when I was sitting in the hotel, one of the staff member asked me if that's from down the road, the 8 pound box. And he smiled at me because this place is common around this area and it's perfect. If you want to sit down, you can also do that. Because it's an all-you-can-eat buffet, you will fill your tummy to the brim. It's really delicious and I would go back for sure. When I'm back the next time in London."
